Most commercial business have large wall-mount first aid kits and those kits need to have supplies replenished and refilled. We've made it easier for you to determine what supplies you need to bring your workplace first aid kits into OSHA Z308.1-2021 compliance. All of the items listed here are required to be included in your industrial first aid kits and cabinets. No need to buy a completely new kit or buy large bulk quantities of items. Just use this product listing to determine what products you need and reorder, fast and simple. If your kit is totally empty, just purchase a complete OSHA Class B first aid kit refill pack.
OSHA Approved First Aid Kit Refills
The American National Standard Institute(ANSI) and the International Safety Equipment Association(ISEA) organizations are the governing bodies that determine the standardization of first aid kits and supplies to ensure that items needed to treat most common types of injuries and sudden illnesses encountered in the workplace are readily accessible and available. The most current standard ANSI/ISEA Z308.1-2021 was adopted by OSHA in October 2022. OSHA uses this standard to make sure workplaces have adequate first aid supplies on hand to treat the most common workplace injuries.
Class B First Aid Kits
Class B First aid kits are intended to provide broader range and quantities of supplies to deal with injuries encountered in more populated, complex and/or high-risk workplace environments. A workplace assessment should be conducted to determine if the supplies in a Class B first aid kit will treat injuries that occur in the workplace, if not additional supplies should be added. In addition, OSHA has determined that first aid kits should never be determined by the number of people in a work environment. An employee must be able to access first aid kits within 3-4 minutes or near proximity of the work being performed. Additional first aid kits may be needed in various locations throughout the workplace to meet this criteria.
