Mettag triage tags helps maximize survivors by creating a way to access and tag patients or victims during emergencies, mass casualties or catastrophic events. Managing a scene with multiple victims can seem overwhelming, difficult and frustrating but using triage tags to access the victims helps you control the situation by visually marking victims and their condition so that when first responders or ems workers arrive they can visually see what patients need immediate attention and which victims can wait. The triage tags have a universal, color-coded system that identifies the medical condition of the victim. The color coding works as follows;
Black - Deceased
Red - Immediate (these victims will be the first priority for treatment)
Yellow - Delayed
Green - Minor
Bright yellow triage tags have areas for patient information, medical conditions, medical readings and body injury locations.
Each tag measures 6 3/8x 4 1/8 inches with a elastic string. Each color coded indication has perforations for tearing or can be folded and clipped allowing for reassessment.
